Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced HVAC DDC Installation Technician to support the installation and field implementation of building automation and HVAC control systems. This role focuses on the physical installation, wiring, and connection of HVAC controllers and related control devices on commercial and industrial projects.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, comfortable working in mechanical rooms and construction environments, and has a strong understanding of low-voltage control systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Install HVAC DDC control systems, including controllers, sensors, actuators, and associated devices
Pull, route, terminate, and label low-voltage control wiring per project specifications and drawings
Mount and connect HVAC controllers, panels, power supplies, and network components
Perform point-to-point checkout and assist with system startup and commissioning
Read and interpret control drawings, wiring diagrams, and submittals
Coordinate with project managers, controls engineers, and mechanical contractors on-site
Troubleshoot wiring and hardware issues as needed
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized job site
Document work performed and report installation progress
Required Qualifications:
2+ years of experience installing HVAC DDC or building automation systems
Ability to run and terminate low-voltage control wiring (BACnet, MS/TP, Ethernet, etc.)
Hands-on experience installing and connecting HVAC controllers and field devices
Familiarity with commercial HVAC equipment (AHUs, VAVs, RTUs, boilers, chillers, etc.)
Ability to read control drawings and wiring diagrams
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior hands-on Niagara N4 experience
Experience with BACnet, Modbus, and IP-based control networks
Background in electrical, controls, or HVAC service
Physical Requirements:
Ability to work on ladders, lifts, and in mechanical rooms
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unasisted
Ability to work in a construction environment and varying weather conditions
Additional Requirements:

. Must have a valid DL and reliable transportation to the job site.
