Established Austin locksmith company looking for a reliable technician or trainee for on-call field work. This is a commission/per-job position, not hourly, so it’s best for someone who wants performance-based pay, can respond during scheduled hours, and wants to learn a real trade. Most work starts with vehicle, residential, and basic commercial lockouts, with the opportunity to grow into rekeys, lock changes, and higher-paying locksmith services.
Scheduling is important: this position requires real flexibility. Possible shifts include 7am–7pm, 9am–9pm, 11am–11pm, or 3pm–3am, and your shift may change depending on company needs. Right now, we are mainly looking for someone to cover 7am–7pm or 9am–9pm, but you must be open to the other shifts as needed. You can pick your two days off, but your days off cannot be Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday. Must have reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, smartphone, good communication, and a professional attitude.
