Lead Welder - Austin (Austin)

The position performs and oversees advanced and complex welding operations on- and off site. The position will determine job priorities, assign repair orders, schedule work and assist other maintenance personnel when needed.

• High school diploma or its equivalent
• Completion of formal training
• At least five years of welding maintenance experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
• Ability to design, fabricate and repair metal and perform corrosion prevention
• Ability to use arc and Mig welders, plasma cutter and acetylene equipment
• Working knowledge of shop equipment, e.g. drill press, cranes, grinders, saw
• Must possess own tools
• Demonstrated understanding of metal welding theory and practices
• Must pass a pulmonary function and respirator fit tests

• Valid commercial driver’s license
• Safe driving for the last five years
• Experience with structural repairs and building erection experience

• Valid Class C driver’s license
• Record of safe driving for the last three years
