The Off-Road Equipment Maintenance Supervisor manages the daily scheduling and workload for the staff, monitors repair and maintenance processes to ensure compliance with established procedures and tracks costs and expenses against the budget. This position also identifies training and development opportunities for department personnel.
- Associate’s degree in Business, Logistics or related fields and one year of experience (the degree can be substituted with experience on a year-for-year basis, up to four years); or an industrial technician certification and one year of experience in heavy duty truck and trailer maintenance
- Experience with hydraulic, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, engine, transmissions, HVAC and special body applications
- At least three years of supervisory experience in a maintenance organization or completion of technical school and five years of experience
- Demonstrate solid working knowledge of service shop procedures
- Demonstrate creativity and adaptability
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite – e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook
- Reliable transportation and the ability to travel to multiple facilities or work sites
- Ability to work overnight, weekend or holiday shifts, as needed
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics or related field and at least one year of related truck and trailer maintenance supervisor experience
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL)
- At least one year of commercial driving experience
- Safe driving for the last five years
- Department of Transportation (DOT) certifications for air brake systems, preventive maintenance inspection and air conditioning
- Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Master Truck certification
- Valid Texas Class C Driver’s License
- Safe driving record for last three years
