Paint Shop Supervisor - Austin

The Paint Shop Supervisor directs the work of painters and assists with managing the painting operations and managing on- and off-site painting work orders in accordance with department procedures. This position ensures work areas are kept clean, enforces safety policies and assists other Container Department personnel when required.

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least five years of maintenance painting experience outside of the company or two years of maintenance painting experience with the company and demonstrated leadership skills
• Must possess required tools
• Must pass a pulmonary function and respirator fit test
• Must have excellent verbal communication skills in English
• Knowledge of painting technologies, metal integrity
• Knowledge of prep surfaces, environmental rules and ability to read a Material Safety Data Sheet
• Knowledge of shop equipment i.e. sprays guns, pumps, air compressors, paint cleaning supplies
• Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite – e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook

• Paint and body certifications
• Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL)
• Safe driving record for the last five years
• Graduate from a technical school with painting certifications

• Valid Class C driver’s license
• Safe driving record for the past three years
