About the Role
We are seeking a Lead Installer to oversee installation crews for automated storage and material handling systems (vertical carousels, VLMs, and related equipment). This is a hands-on leadership role with nationwide travel on a 2 weeks on / 1 week off rotation. Home on weekends.
Responsibilities
• Lead crews in installing, relocating, and servicing automated storage equipment.
• Read and follow installation manuals, drawings, and technical specifications.
• Ensure safety, quality, and efficiency on every job site.
• Train and direct crew members.
• Troubleshoot and resolve on-site mechanical/electrical issues.
• Act as the main on-site contact for project managers and clients.
Requirements
• 3+ years of mechanical installation, construction, or related industrial experience.
• Leadership or foreman experience preferred.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and manuals.
• Forklift/MEWP certification a plus (training available).
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel nationwide (company-paid travel & per diem).
Physical Requirements
• Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs. safely.
• Comfort working at heights (on lifts, ladders, or platforms).
• Standing, bending, and kneeling for extended periods.
• Safe use of forklifts and aerial lifts (scissor lifts have a maximum platform capacity of 500 lbs. including personnel and tools).
• Ability to work in warehouse and construction environments.
Compensation & Benefits
• Starting at $65,000 annually (DOE)
