We are seeking a skilled and experienced Dump Truck Driver to join our team. As a Dump Truck Driver, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining dump trucks to transport materials to and from construction sites. This is a full-time position with commission pay.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate dump trucks to transport materials such as dirt, gravel, or asphalt
- Load and unload materials using equipment such as loaders or backhoes
- Follow designated routes and ensure timely delivery of materials
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while operating the dump truck
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on the truck, including checking tires, brakes, and fluid levels
- Report any mechanical issues or malfunctions to the supervisor
- Maintain cleanliness of the truck cab and ensure proper disposal of waste materials
Skills:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Experience operating dump trucks and other heavy equipment such as loaders or backhoes
- Familiarity with operations and materials
- Basic mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting minor issues
- Ability to read and understand construction plans and specifications
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
