Join the eCab team and drive our fleet of low-speed electric vehicles providing microtransit service in Austin. As an independent driver, you lease the vehicle and keep the fares. After the first two-week training period (during which you pay only a third of your gross earnings), you pay a flat weekly lease and the rest is yours. Drivers choose their own schedules and stage vehicles at busy areas to hustle for rides rather than relying on dispatch.

We help you navigate the City of Austin chauffeur-permit process, provide training, insurance and maintenance, and support your success. Our cabs are environmentally friendly and serve events, downtown, and neighborhoods.

Requirements:
– Valid U.S. driver’s license and clean driving record.
– Ability to pass a background check and obtain a City of Austin chauffeur permit (we assist you with the application and fees).
– Outgoing personality and strong customer service skills.
– Willingness to hustle and maximize earnings.
