We are looking for a reliable and professional **Non-Commercial Driver (1099 Independent Contractor)** to operate a 26ft box truck, handling over-the-road (OTR) shipments across the country. **Responsibilities:**
* Safely operate a 26ft box truck for nationwide deliveries
* Maintain a **clean driving record** and adhere to all DOT regulations
* Pass **random drug testing** and maintain an **active medical card**
* Clearly communicate with **dispatchers** regarding routes, schedules, issues, and delays
* **Accept all routes tendered** within reason and execute them professionally
* Accurately **process all required paperwork** related to shipments and deliveries
* Properly use and manage **tracking applications and systems** as required
* Safely operate a **pallet jack and lift gate** when required for driver-assist shipments
* **Secure shipments** properly for safe transit
* Report **any mechanical or operational issues** with the truck immediately
* Maintain a **clean and presentable truck** at all times
* Provide professional, punctual, and reliable service at all times
* Help the company meet monthly revenue goals to unlock **performance-based incentive bonuses**
* Maintain a high safety score through responsible driving practices
**Schedule:**
* Average of **6 days on the road** per trip
* Flexibility available: if a driver requests a few days off or would like to run some **local routes**, accommodations can often be made
**Requirements:**
* Valid driver’s license (No CDL required, but box truck experience preferred)
* Active DOT medical card
* Clean driving record (no major violations)
* Ability to pass random drug screenings

* Must be comfortable using and learning **tracking applications**

* Willingness to travel across the country on OTR runs
