My son's mid 80's Trek 520 (touring bike) had is rear wheel stolen. If I remember correctly this wheel had the following spec... 27" Matrix Titan (the wide variety, may be "T" Touring?) rim laced to a Japanese made 6 speed Freehub (something other then Shimano). I am pretty sure the OLD is 126mm. (bike and son are in college out of town, so I try to work from memory. the image is one I pirated from the internet which is close to what I think the wheel looked like).
Here is what I am looking for:
1. 700c wheelset of decent quality with an OLD of 126mm (rear) and 100mm (front), 6 or 7 speed, or
2. 27" rear wheel of decent quality with an OLD of 126mm, Freehub and 6 speed Shimano cassette preferred
Not interested in anything with steel rim, 5/10 speed, Sears, Schwinn, Huffy, galvanized spokes.
