condition: good
Have you ever wanted to just drop everything, pack your bag, and hit the road for a wild, unforgettable adventure?

Next week, I’m setting out on a challenge journey to Monterey, California — a mix of hiking, exploring, and living in the moment — and I’m looking for a few adventurous souls to join me.

This isn’t a luxury trip. This is about the raw beauty of travel, the thrill of the unknown, and the satisfaction of pushing yourself. We’ll be moving light, traveling smart, and making the most of every step between here and the Pacific coast.

🗺 What’s the Plan?
• Depart next week from Austin, TX.
• Travel to Monterey, California, overland (bus/train/hike segments).
• Explore the California coastline, forests, and trails.
• Camp under the stars where we can, sleep light, wake early.
• Live the adventure as it unfolds — minimal plans, maximum freedom.

🤝 Who I’m Looking For:
• Adventurers with an open mind and a good attitude.
• People ready to adapt to weather, delays, and surprises.
• Team players who pull their weight and help each other.
• You don’t have to be a pro hiker — just willing to push yourself.

🎒 Gear & Equipment Needs:
If you already have gear, bring it. If not, we’ll work together to gather what’s needed. I’m also putting out a call to the community for gear donations or loaners to make this possible.

Needed items include:
• Hiking/backpacking packs
• Sleeping bags & sleeping pads
• Lightweight tents or tarps
• Durable hiking boots/shoes
• Cooking gear (portable stoves, pots, utensils)
• Trekking poles, headlamps, rain gear, layered clothing
• Water filtration systems & bottles

Condition doesn’t need to be perfect — as long as it’s functional and can handle the trip.

⚡ Why This Is Different:
This isn’t a vacation you book months ahead. It’s a challenge to say yes now and figure it out as we go. It’s a journey that will test your resourcefulness, endurance, and sense of adventure.

We’ll have moments of exhaustion and moments of awe — and both will be worth it. When you look back, you’ll know you lived this week, not just let it pass by.

If you’re ready to join the challenge, reply to this post with:
• Your name and a bit about yourself
• Any outdoor/travel experience you have (it’s okay if it’s little)
• What gear you already own
• Your availability for departure next week

Let’s make this happen. Monterey is waiting.
